What is VAE?
VAE (Validation des Acquis de l’Expérience) is a French legal framework (Law No. 2002-73 of January 17, 2002) that enables individuals to earn recognition for their professional experience, allowing them to obtain all or part of a diploma, title, or certification.
Eligibility for VAE
According to Article L.613-3 of the Education Code, anyone who has engaged in relevant professional activity—whether as an employee, self-employed individual, or volunteer—for at least one year can apply for VAE to validate their knowledge and skills for diploma or title requirements.
