What connects international business, geopolitics and global cooperation? On 21 October 2026, ABC Paris students visited UNESCO to explore how the forces shaping our world also shape the way we do business.

The visit reflected ABC Paris’s approach to business education: connecting classroom learning with experiences that help students understand the world they will work in.

Bringing together students from eleven countries:
Cameroon, India, Côte d’Ivoire, Russia, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Ecuador, Kenya, the United States, France and Lebanon, the visit offered an international setting for learning beyond the classroom.

Organised at the initiative of Sangwon Park, Head of Accreditation & Academic Programs and Professor of International Relations and Cooperation at ABC Paris, the experience connected academic concepts with the challenges facing businesses across borders.

Understanding the World Behind the Markets

International business involves more than understanding customers and competitors. Geopolitical tensions, government decisions and changing trade relationships can all influence where companies invest, how they operate and how they manage their supply chains. At UNESCO, students explored this broader context through the organisation’s mission to advance peace through education, science and culture. The visit encouraged them to consider why international cooperation matters, and how understanding different perspectives can support better business decisions.

For ABC Paris students, it was an opportunity to connect their international business studies with the institutions and relationships that shape the global economy.

Where Business Meets Global Cooperation

The visit also highlighted UNESCO’s partnerships with the private sector, offering a perspective on how businesses can contribute to skills development, innovation and sustainable development. For students preparing for international careers, these connections brought an important question into focus: how can public institutions and private companies work together to address shared challenges?

By bringing these questions beyond the classroom, ABC Paris encourages students to consider both the strategic decisions businesses make and their wider role in society.
